What are ND filters?

An ND filter, which stands for Neutral Density filter, reduces the amount of incoming light on the sensor and thereby prevents overexposed parts in your recordings. But an ND filter also enables slower shutter speeds, which is important when setting the correct frame rate for your camera. Shutter speeds with video are simply different than with a still camera.

ND4 camera filter

An ND4 filter removes 2-stops of light and prevents overexposed images during sunrise or sunset.

ND8 camera filter

An ND8 filter removes 3-stops of light on cloudy days, so images don't get overexposed.

ND16 camera filter

An ND16 filter removes 4-stops of light during clear days.

ND32 camera filter

An ND32 filter removes 5 stops of light during sunny days.

CPL camera filter

The CPL (Circular Polarization) is intended to remove glare from the ground, water and air. This filter is especially useful when shooting from a great height, because the camera captures a lot of reflection from the ground from this position. A polarized filter provides higher color saturation in bright environments and more contrast.

G-UV camera filter

Finally, this set also includes a G-UV filter. A UV filter helps to reduce the amount of UV light in the sensor and protects the camera lens against harmful UV radiation.
