50CAL DJI Osmo Pocket filter ND8PL + ND16PL + ND32PL + ND64PL

This complete filter set for the DJI Osmo Pocket has been specially designed to get the best out of your video and photo material in all conditions. In this set the four main neutral density / polarization filters are combined: from ND8 to ND64. The set is intended to correct an excessive amount of light when you film with your DJI Osmo Pocket, but at the same time also reduces glare and reflections. The filters are made of the very best quality optical glass and aluminum, and therefore very lightweight so as not to overload your drone.

ND filters provide smoother video images

Using an ND filter, also called a gray filter, you can correct the shutter speed of the Osmo Pocket camera if there is too much light, giving your image a real cinematographic look. A necessary accessory in sunny weather, but also excellent protection for the lens of your precious drone.

Correction filters for DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone

This gray filter set for the DJI Osmo Pocket action cam consists of various correction filters that vary in strength from a light to a medium-high correction factor. The ND8 filter cuts out 2 f / stops of light, ND16 filter cuts out 4 f / stops of light, the ND32 filter corrects 5 f / stops and the ND64 filter a whopping 6 f / stops, which means that with the latter filter a shutter speed of 1 / 2,000 sec. moves down to 1/60 sec. You use these light stoppers in bright light conditions where the shutter speed threatens to become too high. For example during a radiant summer day, during winter sports or at the sea.

ND filters are necessary accessories

ND filters are necessary accessories because, just like with normal photo and video cameras, they reduce the amount of light entering the sensor and therefore prevent overexposed parts in your images. When filming with your action camera, a gray filter ensures that you can also use slower shutter speeds in bright light, which is important when setting the correct frame rate for your camera. The shutter speeds with video are different than with a photo camera. To get the best film quality, you have to adjust the amount of incoming light to avoid too fast shutter speed. By using the different 50CAL ND filters, you correct the shutter speed to 1/120 sec. for HD movies (1080/60) or to 1/60 sec. for 4K / 30.

Read here why good ND / PL filters are indispensable accessories .

What are ND filters?

Neutral Density (ND) and polarizing (PL) drone camera filters are intended to reduce and / or filter the amount of light that enters the camera. When applied correctly, ND / PL filters can make a big difference in color depth and contrast, and videos become smoother and cinematic due to an optimal shutter speed in combination with recording speed (frames per second). Read more about Neutral Density and polarized camera filters here.

The advantages of ND / PL filters:

  • your photos and videos are less likely to be overexposed in bright sunlight,
  • your images get more color depth and contract,
  • your videos will be smoother / more cinematic,
  • less glare and reflection (PL filters).
